The first piece of sod in place.
One down, a bazillion more to go.
One of our helpers, Kyle, hard at work on the side yard.
One hour into the project...plus Kyle and Amy's progress on the side yard.
We had to stop in the middle of this first hour to do a bit more dirt work/raking.
Four hours and six people later...
The Billetts are proud owners of grass...approximately 2100 square feet of it.
(These pictures were taken on Saturday morning before we cleaned up the sidewalk and driveway.)
Thanks to the U.S. Treasury for giving us some of our hard-earned money back so we could afford such a purchase!
The tree rings are a nice contrast against the grass!
So much shade. Thank goodness fescue is shade tolerant. Can't wait to throw out a blanket and have a picnic!

We are so pleased with how everything looks and have been watering watering watering for days!
Loving the grass...dreading the water bill!
I guess that's just part of this whole process.
Happy May,
Carianne
