a bigger bump and a prayer request

my bump is continuing to grow, praise the Lord! and the little one inside the bump is already into his sixth month of development (nearly 24 weeks to be exact)! he gets music played for him several times a week, is read to from time to time, and gets rubbed a little here and there!! it sure will be nice to meet him here in a few months! i have two upcoming appointments: august 10 and august 17. the first is an ultrasound (my favorite!!) and the second is my gestational diabetes test. i hear there is a sugary orange drink involved! all i keep thinking is that i like sugary orange drinks! ;)
there's nothing new or exciting going on around here. i am still working some...but i have given myself a week off sandwiched between 2 weekends starting august 15 and going through august 23. i NEED the time to start preparing my schedule, lessons, and other tutoring/homeschooling matters before the start of the new school year. plus, i want to finish organizing and cleaning as much as i can around the house before owen's birthday! with my job, i am making some changes for the upcoming year...changes i am very much looking forward to. since the fall of 2007, i have gone to peoples' homes to tutor and homeschool, but now, i will have them come to me. what i figure is this...less $$$ spent on gas, more scheduling time as opposed to driving time, and most importantly, getting to be home with owen. i will be looking for part time help after the new year, but again, they will come here and watch owen while i work with students. in my head it all works out perfectly...we shall see!
for those of you who wouldn't mind helping me out with something, i have a prayer request. i wish to keep the details private, but hope that you would lift up a very dear friend and ask the Lord to be with her each day. she is going through a difficult time and needs "prayer warriors" to help her through it!! we all go through struggles. we all have hard times in our lives. we all ask for help when we need it. we all add people to our prayer list from time to time. it seems like such a small thing to say a prayer for someone else, even someone unknown to us, but to the person who needs the prayer, it is HUGE! i would appreciate your help. i know she will too. just so you have a little background on this wonderful person...she is a Godly woman, devoted to helping others, loving in every way, selfless, intelligent, beautiful inside and out, and very much an optimist. thanks for sending your thoughts heavenward!
take care one and all,
carianne
